This was created so that we may be reminded of who God / Jesus / Holy Spirit "is", have an understanding of how we were created and reflect on how God / Jesus / Holy Spirit have interacted with creation throughout history.

Bible Timeline
The genesis (pun intended) of this timeline began in 2005 after completing several bible study courses through Bible Study Fellowship. After seeing so many dates and calculations, I had to know if they were all correct and aligned with each other. These calculations are performed on spreadsheets and the results are a light so that others can see that the Word of God is true ... and it is history.
Matthew 5:14-15 "14“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Starting Point
The earliest evidence of corroboration between Academia and the Holy Bible that I have found is contained in the Bubastite Portal. This wall is located in the Temple of Karnak near Luxor, Egypt and it highlights the battle campaigns of Pharaoh Shoshenq I. His Hebrew name is Shishak and the Holy Bible references Shishak, King of Egypt in 1 Kings 11:40 and 1 Kings 14:25-28. In particular, many cartouche (see below) on the Portal identify cities located in Israel and scholars have dated this campaign to 925 BC. Some cartouche are missing, but there is evidence that one has been hidden that lists a name for Jerusalem as "highland of David" or better known as the Hills of Judea. We will use 925 BC as the starting point since both biblical and extra-biblical accounts converge at this time, and will utilize only the biblical text to move backward in time to the beginning point of the creation of the world. Moving back in time will add time because of the attempt by the Julian and Gregorian calendars to coalesce with the birth of Jesus Christ.



925 BC - Shishak I invades Israel and sacks Jerusalem.

930 BC - 1st year of King Rehoboam, son of King Solomon and year of King Solomon's death.

Time of the Beginning
How was the universe created? Was it a random event or a planned design? All evidence points to an explosion of existence. The first law of thermodynamics is about the conservation of energy, which states, "Energy cannot be created nor destroyed but it can just be transformed from one form to another." Basically, in the natural world, you can't make something from nothing, but the Holy Bible explains that God has the power to do it. Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created ["bara"] the heavens and the earth." "BARA" means to create something from nothing ("Ex nihilo" is Latin for "out of nothing"). This is different than the word for "create" in Genesis 1:27 "So God created ["yatsar"] mankind in his own image, ..." "YATSAR" means to create something from something else, such as making Adam from the dust of the ground.
The origins of the universe cannot be explained by an explosion, but it can be explained if one considers humanity, not as the apex species of the world, but as part of a larger design that was created for relationship and given the responsibility to steward what was created. This record of creation history is found in the Book of Genesis within the Holy Bible and along with God's promise to create a nation (Israel) through Abraham. The Time of Beginning will look through the following linear divisions of history as outlined in Genesis:

So how far can we see into the universe? Aside from the unfortunate bias, agendas and omissions that plague academia and the other institutions in the realms of science, we can only know what is seen and measured. The observable universe has been measured to the farthest extent that Humanity's telescopes can see. The first space-based telescope was the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) that launched in 1990. It had several missions to upgrade and extend its life. In 2022, the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) was launched.

Theory of the Big Bang - The theory was presented by Father Georges Lemaître in 1927. It is an idea that the universe began at a single point, and is expanding away from its beginning. To briefly summarize, this theory suggests that the following will occur:
1. Further galaxies are young, smooth, homogeneous
2. Further galaxies should appear larger, not smaller
3. Further galaxies are fewer
4. Further galaxies are dull
5. Further galaxies have higher Red-Shift values
6. Further galaxies are receding
What have scientists found through their observation from HST and JWST?
1. Galaxies are more mature
2. Galaxies vary in size and greater than Big Bang
3. Galaxies are bountiful
4. Galaxies are bright and highly detailed
5. Closer galaxies have high Red-Shift values
6. Galaxies are constant and not expanding/receding
Articles and interviews about the findings can be found here from ScienceNew, the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) and interesting from PBS where one leading scientist admitted that academia needs to figure out "new ways of getting stars and galaxies to assemble very quickly after the Big Bang". In other words, how to get a square peg into a round hole. ICR is a great resource for information from a Christian perspective.
How old is the universe? Prior to 2022, Academia suggested that the universe was 13.8 billion years old. Because the data from the JWST does not fit the Big Bang Theory, a new research study has come out claiming that to explain the massive galaxies found at huge distances, the Universe must be at least 26.7 billion years (in order to fit the Big Bang Theory because the idea accepted as truth behind "red-shift" (the way to measure distance and galaxies moving farther away is based on the wavelength of light emitted in which the longer, redder wavelength indicates galaxies are moving away) is not the observation through JWST). Other scientific tools such as radio-carbon dating (see ICR article), evolutionary theory (see ICR article) and geologic theory (see ICR article) have collaborated to date the earth as 4.54 million year old.
For the Christian, a big bang is possible, but a literal reading of the biblical text states the Universe and everything in it was created in six (6) literal days. This website pertaining to the biblical text as history will continue from a literal reading of the biblical text.

Genesis - Chapter 02: Creation of Humanity by God
Theory of Evolution - a postulated, unobservable process that is based on assumptions not empirically proved, random variability and change, and substantially deviates from the practice of observable science.
Foundation of the Theory of Evolution is built on shifting sand:

Fossil Record - The assumption that organisms gradual mutate over millions and billions of years. With the absence of transitional forms "Macro-evolution" in the fossil record, Academia suggests "micro-evolution" of small changes or utilizes "punctuated equilibrium" to describe to suggest evolution occurs in great leaps of change rather than a gradual process.

Radiometric Dating - There are many types of Radiometric Dating (carbon-14 dating, carbon-12 dating, uranium-lead dating, potassium-argon dating, rubidium-strontium dating, etc.). Radiometric dating does not work as a reliable indicator of the age of the earth or its rocks because it requires three (3) basic known's that Academia assume for this kind of dating analysis. First, how much of both the parent and daughter element existed in the rock when it was formed. Second, the parent or daughter element did not increase nor decrease during the decay process. Third, the rate of decay has been constant. None of these assumptions .

- Natural Selection - a natural process that results in the survival and reproductive success of individuals or groups best adjusted to their environment and that leads to the perpetuation of genetic qualities best suited to that particular environment. (Article No.1, Article No.2)
- Neanderthals - The extrapolation of a full body from a small amount of bone fragments and partial skulls in order to support the Theory of Evolution and the assumptions of radiometric dating results appears disingenuous. (DNA story, Archeology story, List of bone fragments)

- Population numbers - If "homo sapiens" have been around for 2.8 million years and there are millions and billions for fossils for all other kinds in the rocks, why are there not millions and millions of different neanderthal bodies? If humanity came from splitting cells then how did we or even apes get male and female?
- There are no archaeological evidence of civilizations beyond 2500 BC in dirt. Of the 9 oldest archaeological sites, the top 6 are caves and not mad-made.
- Geologic methods - The fields of sedimentology and stratigraphy use the layers in soil to determine age. The Mount St. Helen's eruption has provided over 40 years of empirical evident in these scientific areas of study and prove Academia's assumptions of millions of years incorrect. strike his heel = The same heel that defeats Satan will be wounded fatally. Note: Satan will use Judas to cause Jesus to be captured and die on the cross; fulfilled prophecy through lament of betrayal by sharing bread with a close friend, even though Jesus knew Judas' heart (Psalm 41:9, John 13:18); Jacob, whose name means "deceiver" grabbed his brothers heels at birth. The word Jacob or Yaqov comes directly from the word "aqev" meaning "heel". Jacob, metaphorically speaking, "lifted his heel" against Esau to obtain the birthright from Isaac, their father. Jacob would prophecy against two of his sons as "heel-strikers", Dan (Genesis 49:16-17) and Gad (Genesis 49:19).

Genesis - Chapters 06, 07, 08 and 09: The Flood Event (2458 BC)
It is just as easy to see evidence of creation on earth as it is to look in sky on a cloudless night with no ambient light. Rocks, fossils, and sediment tell their own story of how the earth was shaped. What happened to the dinosaurs. Why do large swaths of homogeneous, continuous sediment deposits run through multiple continents? Why are there marine fossils high up in the mountains and in the same sediment layer in multiple places around the globe? Why are petrified trees in sediment always vertical or upside down? While scientists theorize that something happened such as a cataclysmic meteor struck the Earth or volcanic activity or an ice age, one event addresses what is found in the sediment layers, and that is a Global Flood Event.

Genesis - Chapter 10: The Table of Nations
The Bible-History.com website seems to provide an excellent resource to information about the Table of Nations.
DNA technology to date ancestry that supports Young Earth theory:
Molecular Clocks: Not a measure of time, but a measure of mutation rate within ancestor and based on certain assumptions for calibration. The Evolutionary Academia model expects 1 mutation every 12,000 years (also assuming rate is constant) based on three main assumptions:
1. The fossil record is accurate.
2. Radiometric dating is accurate.
3. Humans descended from Chimpanzees.
Mitochondrial Eve for Evolutionary Academia is defined as "the maternal most recent ancestor for all living humans." Evolutionary Academia assumes the Mitochondrial Eve (not biblical Eve) lived approximately 100,000 - 200,000 years ago. They expect 1 mutation every 12,000 years and by their calculations, humanity split from chimpanzees about 65 million years ago.
A Mitochondrial Eve molecular clock study by Dr. Thomas Parsons (1997) studied replaced No. 3 by utilizing 327 humans, not chimps, with generational phylogeny (ancestry tree - ie grandmother, mother, daughter, grand-daughter).
Finding: mtDNA clock mutation was 1 per 800 years, making Mitochondrial Eve about 6,500 years old and matching the biblical narrative and biblical Eve

Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson published a book titled "Traced", whereby conducted research on the Male Y-Chromosome mutation rate.
Findings:
1) there may not be a one molecular clock for males, but several since each different haplogroup has a different mutation rate, and
2) the common average paternal ancestry clock mutation was 1 per 1035 years, making X-Chromosome Adam about 4,500 years old, matching the biblical narrative and biblical Noah.

Genesis - Chapter 11a: The Tower of Babel Event (2338 BC - see notes under Chapter 11b)
Genesis 11:1-8 "1 Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. 2 As people moved eastward, a they found a plain in Shinar and settled there. 3 They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.” 5 But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. 6 The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.” 8 So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. 9 That is why it was called Babel—because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world. Baked Bricks in verse 3 were used since they did not have stone.

By building a city in verse 4, the people were disobedient to God by not scattering over the whole earth.

To make a "name" in verse 4 is to create identity separate from God.

Their "plan" in verse 6 was the same path as the pre-Noah people.

Language in verse 7 was the key to their success. Act 2:4-8 - the Holy Spirit gave the power to speak in other languages.

Verses 8 and 9 may be a miss-translation: It may be more likely: "Nimrod, descended from the line of Cush and began to act irreverently on the earth. He slaughterer before the LORD; that is why it is said, "Like Nimrod, a slaughterer before the LORD."

2334 BC – 2154 BC: Akkadian Empire
The Akkadian Empire was the first known empire and was one of the main centers or cities in Mesopotamia mentioned in Genesis 10:10. Founded by Sargon (Nimrod), it lasted from approximately 180 years. Mesopotamia was the region currently known as Iraq where the Tigris River and Euphrates River meander from the Persian Gulf. It encompassed the Sumerians, Akkadians, and Assyrians. By conquest, Sargon (Nimrod) assimilated these cultures and lands into his empire. Many people groups lived in and around the region, growing and waning in power.

Some things to know about the numbers above:
1. Eber is where the word "Hebrew" originated.
2. Pelag means "Division" and it is believed that the languages were divided at that time. Scholars estimate that Sargon I, King of Akkadian Empire is destroyed the City of Babylon around 2350 BC.
3. Since God judgment prior to the Flood Event happened 120-years prior, I am assuming that the Tower of Babel event happened 120-years after the Flood Event (2458 - 120 = 2338 BC). Why? Because sometimes God mirrors or splits events evenly. Without sounding like I know the mind of God, my assumption is based biblical text explanations such as Matthew 1:17, ; Joseph lived 110 years and led Israel out of Canaan, while Joshua lived 110 years and led Israel back into the Promised Land. 2141 BC – 2050 BC: Gutian Dynasty / the Uruk
The Gutian Dynasty ruled Mesopotamia for almost a century, having invaded the Sumer region in the southeast. The Akkadians were also attacked by the Elamites (east) and Ammorites (north). Eventually the Uruk people in Sumer would overthrow the Gutians. The Utu-hengal Victory Stele would documents this victory. The Uruk would created the oldest legal codes, and restore the roadway system and provide general order in the area. Perhaps upon these road, Abraham and his family members would have traveled on their way to Haran.
ABRAHAM
Abram was born in 2166 BC to Terah, son of Nahor. Terah and his family lived in the city of Ur in Sumer or Ur of the Chaldeans (mentioned in Acts 7:4, which most likely was located in southern Mesopotamia (Isaiah 23:13; Jeremiah 25:12; Ezekiel 12:13). They were also known for their worship of the moon god "Nanna" and Terah's name means "moon". Ur-Nammu starting building the Great Ziggurat of Ur around 2100 BC to honor their god Nanna. It was built in a similar fashion as the Tower of Babel with baked mud bricks. At some point, Terah took Abram and the rest of his family to go settle in Canaan, but he stopped in Haran and settled there. Eventually, God call Abram to leave and go to Canaan.

2000 BC – 1550 BC: Middle Bronze Age (Academia)
Mesopotamia - The Isin-Larsa period (c. 2025–1763) began after Ur was attached by both Amorite and Elamite armies. Both cultures filled the void and seem to have co-habitat without a unified government. Rebecca did come from Aram-Naharaim (Genesis 24:1-10), near Haran where Terah settled and died. This area seemed to be under the unorganized control of the Amorites, and coalesced as the Yamhad Dynasty in 1810 BC.
Canaan - Not much is known about the ancient history of Canaan, but the Holy Bible does see interaction with the Philistines through their leader Abimelech and Abraham (Genesis 20) /Isaac (Genesis 26). The year before Isaac was born, the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by God for their wickedness around the Dead Sea (Genesis 13:10-13, Genesis 14, Genesis 19:1-29).
Egypt - Much of ancient Egyptian history is unknown. There are many King's lists and several historians who have tried to piece the information together, but there is not much consistency. I believe that the current timelines are longer than they should be and that they are not linear. After the 4th Dynasty, I believe that the same struggles for peace and stability in other cultures occurred in Egypt so that the 5th-17th Dynasties reflect more regional power centers within a 200-year period rather than a united or upper/lower ruling of Egypt. As such, my timeline shows the 2nd Dynasty, with its capital in Thinis, from 2060 BC - 1900 BC. Isaac was warned by God not to go to Egypt during a famine (Genesis 26:1-6).
ISAAC
There is not as much background on Isaac. The influence and obedience of Abraham must have greatly impacted Isaac's relationship and worship of God. His part in Abraham's testing was significant, for Abraham knew that Isaac was the child of the promise and that either God would provide another sacrifice or that God would raise Isaac from the dead so to go from that moment of death-and-life must have been life-changing. He was a type or foreshadow of Jesus, who was the promised prophet of Moses, the Son of God and also the Lamb of God that was sacrificed for sin. Isaac married Rebecca, who gave birth to twins, Esau and Jacob.
Issac was partial to Esau, while Rebecca was partial to Jacob, especially since Esau married Hittite women. Isaac and Rebecca were aware of the influence of Esau's wives and his rejection of God. Esau also rejected his firstborn's birthright, but Jacob coveted it. Esau sold his birthright for a bowl of soup and bread to Jacob when he was famished. Later, Rebecca would persuade Jacob ("Yaakov" means "supplanter" from the word for "to grab the heel," (Genesis 25:26) which figuratively means "to trip or deceive," to trick Isaac into giving Jacob the blessing that God bestows from Abraham to Isaac. Jacob, during his deception, spoke words that Esau would have said, "The Lord your God gave me success," not "my God" (Genesis 27:19-21). Esau was very upset, even though he despised his birthright years ago, and set his heart to kill Jacob. Upon realizing the deception done to him, Esau's state of mind and Rebecca's wish that Jacob not marry the local Hittite women, Isaac formally blesses Jacob and sends him away to relatives so that he could find a wife.

JACOB
It is interesting how the fulfillment of the blessing was realized in Jacob, not Isaac. Issac prayed for Rebecca's womb to be open and she only produced one child. Jacob schemed to get Esau's birthright and was directed by his mother to get Esau's blessing, but once the blessing was received, he listened to God and was blessed (Genesis 36:42). Like his son Joseph, God spoke to Jacob in visions and dreams (Genesis 31:10-13). There was a trend of deceit in the family, from all that Jacob did, Rachel stealing her father's household idol (Genesis 31:33-37), and to his sons revenge of the Dinah incident (Genesis 34), and plotting against Joseph and faking his death (Genesis 37). He himself was deceived many times by his father-in-law, Laban. He also showed favoritism to the sons of his favorite wife, Rachel, in front of his other sons, which bred jealousy. But he was obedient to God and was given a vision to relocate to Egypt with Joseph (Genesis 46:1-4).

Genesis - Chapter 38: Judah
JUDAH
I include a separate section on Judah (even thought he was only the fourth born) because he was the chosen line for King David and ultimately, Jesus Christ (Hebrews 7:14-16). So why was the fourth born chosen? Jacob gives prophecies about his sons in Genesis 49 that give an explanation:
Reuben:
3 “Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, the first sign of my strength, excelling in honor, excelling in power. 4 Turbulent as the waters, you will no longer excel, for you went up onto your father’s bed, onto my couch and defiled it."
Reuben slept with his father's concubine, Bilhah (Genesis 35:22)
Simeon and Levi:
5 “Simeon [second born] and Levi [third born] are brothers — their swords are weapons of violence. 6 Let me not enter their council, let me not join their assembly, for they have killed men in their anger and hamstrung oxen as they pleased. 7 Cursed be their anger, so fierce, and their fury, so cruel! I will scatter them in Jacob and disperse them in Israel."
A. They tricked the Shechemites into being circumcised in return for their family staying in their community and receive blessing. God reserved circumcision as a sign of His covenant with Abraham and his descendants (Genesis 17). Anyone not circumcised was to be cut-off from his people.
B. After all the Shechemite men were recovering from their circumcision, they slaughtered everyone male in the city for defiling Dinah (Genesis 34:25-31). This seems to be the beginning of the rift between the Canaanites and the children of Israel.
C. The Tribe of Levi did not receive any land, but instead were given 48 cities throughout all the Tribes (Numbers 18:23-24, Numbers 35:1-8, Joshua 21), and the Tribe of Simeon's land was scattered within the area of the Tribe of Judah then eventually absorbed into Judah (Joshua 19:1-9; Judges 1:3; 2 Chronicles 15:9)

JOSEPH
The Lord spoke to Joseph in dreams and it was the same with Jacob. The interpretation of dreams was a gift from God, but with his young mind, his honesty about the dreams also got him in trouble. Ultimately, God molded and blessed Joseph so that he could save Israel. He also became the firstborn of Israel even though his two sons were two of the twelve Tribes of Israel and none borne his name (Genesis 49:22-26 and 1 Chronicles 5:1-2).

Joseph’s name (יוֹסֵף; yosef) is base on a Hebrew verb (יאֹסֵף; yosef) that literally means “he takes away.” What can be so significant in this meaning? Nothing on the surface. But ancient Hebrew is a root-based language and the root of his name is אָסַף (asaf), which means "to gather, collect, bring in, or assemble." A keyword with this same root is אָסִיף (asif), meaning “harvest” -- that which is collected. Joseph’s name is related to the idea of “taking away” in a sense of “gathering” (taking the crops away from the field) as occurs in collecting a harvest. G. The Alphabet (Proto-Hebrew 1.0)
The video by Timothy Mahoney titled "The Moses Controversy" does an excellent job of defending the idea that Moses and the Israelite were literate, and able to read and write. Moses said to the Israelites in Deuteronomy 6:4-9 "4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[a] 5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates." If the Israelites did not actually write them on the door frames and gate then they would be disobedient to God's command (see Sh'ima explanation).

Time of Egypt and Bondage
There is just no consensus on the ancient history of Egypt, at least beyond the 18th Dynasty or around 1500 BC. It would be very convenience if the traditional chronology suggested by scholarly Academia were linear and consistent. Sometimes the monotony of consensus provides stability, but the desire by Academia to find a new approach and get credit for the find is overpowering, and breeds pride and arrogance on the subject matter. In addition, both native Egyptians and invading occupiers have chiselled away (literally) at some of the greatest historical documentation ever created in the hieroglyphs of Egyptian culture. And yet, Academia refuses to allow the Holy Bible as a source of history. Even if they only allowed the Old Testament, they dismiss the portions of history regarding the Jewish nation, Israel. Even now, in the 21st Century, is it so embarrassing for Egypt and the world to acknowledge that the people of Israel lived in Goshen? Or, that they left Egypt to go back to their Promised Land? Or simply, that the people of Israel conquered the Canaanites and other surrounding nations to establishing their own nation? Or that the Philistines are not the Palestinians and the only reason the name "Palestine" exists is because Roman, who occupied Israel, renamed the land Palestine to further antagonize the Jews? There is no archeological evidence for the existence of Palestine, and yet more evidence of the Israelite occupation of Goshen in Avaris has been found (and covered up again, literally).
Those scholars who are open to see possibilities for other Egyptian historical timelines are scoffed by Academia, even biblical scholars, and those institutions that dismiss any non-official timeline.

Spivey's Unauthorized Biblical Timeline Note: The portion of time dealing with the period that the Israelites were in Egypt is one of the most contentious among and between those who give authority to Academia and those who give authority to the Word of God. Mine is labeled "Unauthorized" because I have no academic credentials. This exercise, for me, is 1) to organize biblical history and 2) to see where world history falls in the biblical timeline. These are two separate puzzles. The biblical puzzle, when put together, may not fit the world puzzle because humanity likes to create its own puzzle pieces instead of the one that is already made. I have tried to read the scholarship of Academia and filter through a biblical lenses. I am not interest in acceptance; only to find fact and truth around the biblical text. In order to do this, certain assumptions must be made.
The First Assumption is that the historical references in the Holy Bible (NIV 1984 based on Hebrew Masoretic text for the Old Testament and Apostolic Writings / Epistles for the New Testament) are literal, factual and truth:
John 17:17 "Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth."
Psalm 119:160 "All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal."
Proverbs 30:5 "“Every word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him."
If the Holy Bible says that the Israelites were in Egypt for 430 years then it is 430 years. As a Christian, the history of humanity must conform to the history in God's Word or God's Word is a lie. The inclusion of world history in addition to the biblical history is not important, but helps to understand context and show how God uses foreign nations to accomplish His will (Jeremiah 25:8-14), whether it is bad (disciple, judgment or correction) or good (blessings, salvation or provision) for the people of Israel.
The Second Assumption is that the Israelites were in Egypt 430 years ("long sojourn"), not 215-years:
The 215-year theory is guided by the interpretation of Galatians 3:16-17, which states "16 The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ. 17 What I mean is this: The law, introduced 430 years later, does not set aside the covenant previously established by God and thus do away with the promise." Genesis 15:13 states "Then the Lord said to him, “Know for certain that for four hundred years your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own and that they will be enslaved and mistreated there." If the Israelites were in Egypt for 215 years then how can they be mistreated for 400 years? The math is not consistent with the short sojourn theory.

Galatians 3:16 states "the promises" and the "430 years" is not a promise, but it is a prophecy. This word "promises" is plural and speaks to the many promises given to Abraham by God in Genesis 12:2-3 . These promises were:

Galatians 3:17 speaks directly to the "430 years" and speaks to "and to your seed". First, the Mosaic Law ("Law") and its requirements were given to the Israelites by Moses, which spoke to the "promised" Prophet (Deuteronomy 18:14-22), and it is the Prophet / Messiah that not only fulfilled its requirements and is the high priest to intercede before God the Father, but Jesus never broke any of the Law. Second, the 430 years later speaks to the delivery of the Law, not the "promise". The Law was given in 1446 BC at the base of Mt. Sinai. This mountain is currently known as Jabal Al Lawz in Saudi Arabia as referenced in Galatians 4:25 or it was located in the land of Midian in Exodus 3-4. (1446 + 430 = 1876)
The Third Assumption is that there is no contradiction between Genesis 15:13-14 (400 years) and Genesis 12:40-41 (430 years)? The 400 years is the total time of oppression; the 430 years is the total time in Egypt. The Israelites were in Egypt for 430 years after moving from Canaan.
There is very little historical text regarding what happened within these 430 years:

The Israelites reproduced rapidly and overtook the land of Goshen. (Exodus 1:1-7)

A new pharaoh implemented the policy of oppression against the Israelites. (Exodus 1:8-14)

The oppression started when Joseph was alive. (Genesis 50:24-25)

The Hebrews were oppressed for 400 years. (Genesis 15:13) Oppression could have been mild and grew to forced labor.

The "new king, who did not know about Joseph" must have been the king when Moses was born since the dialogue moves toward the midwife command and genocide.

The Israelites went back to the land of Canaan in the fourth generation of oppression: Levi, Kohath, Amram and Moses (Genesis 15:16).

The 430-year allotment of time works with the genealogy. Moses was from the Tribe of Levi (his great-grandfather);

Levi begat Kohath (his grandfather). He was born in 1925 BC, lived 137 years (Exodus 6:16) and died in 1788 BC. He was 49 years old when he moved to Goshen (Genesis 46:8, 11).

Kohath begat Amram (his father), He lived 133 years. His age when he moved to Goshen is unknown (Genesis 46:8, 11).

Amram begat Moses. He lived 137 years.

Moses was born in 1526 BC. The Exodus occurred in 1446 BC. (1446 + 80 = 1526 from Exodus 7:7).

The total years from Israelites move to Egypt (1846 BC) to Moses' birth (1526 BC) was 350 years.

The total years between Kohath in Egypt (1915 BC) and Amram's death is 407 years, minus Kohath's age at move (407 - 49 = 358) was 358 years.

Only an eight (8) year difference in time means that, like so many of Abraham's descendants, many children were born very late in their lives, very close to their death dates.

Egyptian Chronology: The major issue with the establishment of an Egyptian timeline of rulers is that there are several king lists accepted by Academia, but there are inconsistencies in names and dates between the king lists. The examples of kings lists include:

The Hyksos: Originally labeled as the Shepherd Kings by Manetho, this "people-group" that lived in Egypt for an extended period of time have very similar characteristics and descriptions to the Hebrews, but Academia refuses to consider the possibility that they are one and the same, mostly because of their assumptions regarding Egyptian chronology. The 13th - 17th Dynasties are credited as influenced or ruled under the Hyksos. The total time frame for these periods is approximately 250 years in Avaris, given overlay in Dynasties.

Characteristics noted by Historians and Academia include:

They both were Shepherds - It is unclear why Egyptians disliked Hebrews or Shepherds.

Genesis 46:31-34 when Joseph wanted his brothers to withhold from Pharaoh that his family were shepherds because "... all shepherds are detestable to the Egyptians."

Genesis 43:32, which states " They served him [Joseph] by himself, the brothers by themselves, and the Egyptians who ate with him by themselves, because Egyptians could not eat with Hebrews, for that is detestable to Egyptians."

Josephus, Against Apion, quoting Manetho’s Aegyptiaca, "82 This whole nation was styled Hycsos—that is, shepherd-kings: for the first syllable, Hyc, according to the sacred dialect, denotes a king, as is Sos a shepherd, but this according to the ordinary dialect; and of these is compounded Hycsos. So who was the Pharaoh of the Exodus? There are many theories about Egyptians chronology and after reviewing materials from Dr. Douglas Petrovich and Joel Kramer, a biblical archaeologist, I believe that they have correctly identified (from an academic perspective) Amenhotep II as the Pharaoh of the Exodus.
Dr. Petrovich has re-calibrated the Egyptian chronology of the 18th Dynasty (as outlined in his book "Origins of the Hebrews, New Evidence of Israelites in Egypt from Joseph to the Exodus") to reflect the dates in the graph above. This amendment correctly aligns with the biblical text that shows:

Thutmose I was the new king that did not know Joseph and ordered the murder of all boys under 2 years old.

Hatsheput was the 19 year old daughter of Thutmose I that drew Moses out of the water and raised him as a royal. She married her younger brother, Thutmose II and continued to raise Moses in the royal family. When she became Pharaoh and co-ruled under her nephew/stepson Thutmose III came of age, it is Thutmose III that was the Pharaoh that tried to kill Moses for killing the Egyptian soldier. One can understand how much Hatsheput loved Moses and would try to protect him. It may partially explain why Thutmose III would go to such lengths to erase Hatsheput from much of Egyptian history written in stone. Moses fled to Midian.

Amenhotep II was Pharaoh when God commanded Moses to returned to Egypt and lead the Hebrews on a journey to the promised land.

Following the the Exodus event, Amenhotep II conducted a 2nd and final campaign in November (not a typical time for going to war) and instead of plunder, he recorded the capture of 100,000 slaves/warriors and 15,000 chariots in order to replenish the losses in labor and military forces. Over 17 campaigns, Thutmose III gathered a total of about 8,800 captives, in comparison.

Thutmose IV was not the first-born son of Amenhotep II.
Why is Amenhotep II the most likely candidate? Dr. Petrovich provides an excellent outline of the criteria supporting Amenhotep II if his previously reference book:

Flavius Josephus, Against Apion, extra-biblical texts that refuted other historians accounts of the interactions of the Hebrews with Gentile nations, yet writings are embraced and utilized by academia.

Line No. 230-231: "230 for he [Manetho] mentions Amenophis [Amenhotep II], a fictitious king’s name, though on that account he durst not set down the number of years of his reign, which yet he had accurately done as to the other kings he mentions; he then ascribes certain fabulous stories to this king, as having in a manner forgotten how he had already related that the departure of the shepherds for Jerusalem had been five hundred and eighteen years before; 231for Tethmosis [Tuthmose IV] was king when they went away.

Manetho - an Egyptian Priest that lived around 300 BC. He was commissioned to decipher and compile the hieroglyphics of Egyptian history into Greek and called his compilation the Aegyptiaca (History of Egypt). A complete book has not survived, only portions from many sources.

Exodus 1:8 explains that a new king [Thutmose I], who did not know about Joseph, came to power in Egypt. Thutmose I was a commoner not of the royal-decent; never referencing himself as the son of the king. He ascended to the rank of general in the army of Amenhotep I.

Exodus 1:9-14 states he oppressed the Hebrews and prescripted them to forced labor building many projects, including the famous Temple of Karnak.

Exodus 2:1-10 is the narrative where the Pharaoh's daughter heard Moses crying in the basket as it floated in the Nile River. He was retrieved and adopted him as her son.

Exodus 2:11-15 recalls how Moses killed an Egyptians for beating a Hebrew. Once the Pharaoh heard, he (a male) tried to kill Moses so Moses fled to Midian. Moses was the offical "son" of Hatsheput, who never conceived a male heir and was co-regent with her stepson/nephew Thutmose III. She was 60 years old, Moses was 40 years old and Thutmose III was 20 years old at this time. Thutmose III was not sole ruler until 1483 BC, after Hatsheput's death. On theory is that Thutmose III was so upset by this relationship that it was one factor in his campaign to erase much of her history written in stone throughout Egypt.

Acts 7:20-29 relates the Moses was adopted as a son and "educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful in speech and action."

Exodus 2:23-25 shows that Pharaoh died after a long period of time and the Hebrews continued to suffer. Thutmose III co-ruled from 1504 BC to 1484 BC (22 years) then was sole ruler from 1483 BC to 1450 BC (34 years) totaling 56 years. He died 36 years after Moses fled to Midian then his son, Amenhotep II ruled in 1453 BC.

Exodus 12:29-30 reflects the result of the 10th plague, which killed the first-born of everyone who did not follow God's instructions so that the Destroyer would "pass over" the house. The Pharaoh's first-born was killed. Neither Amenhotep II nor his son Thutmose IV were first-born.

Exodus 12:31-39 says the Pharaoh commanded the Hebrews to leave immediately; about 600,000 men or over 2,000,000 with families. Dr. Manfred Bietak, chief excavator of Tell el-Dab’a [Avaris], made a statement about the Ahmose I campaign against the Hyksos that “there is mounting evidence to suggest that a large part of this population stayed in Egypt and served their new overlords in various capacities”.
Another archaeologist, Dr. Scott Stripling is cited in his study of Dr. Bietak's work called Five Views on the Exodus: Historicity, Chronology and Theological Implications that “Bietak’s stratigraphic analysis [of Tell el-Dab’a] reveals a clear abandonment in the mid-18th Dynasty, during or after the reign of Amenhotep ii. … [T]he latest identifiable pottery dates to the reign of Amenhotep ii. … Much of Avaris Stratum d/1 (in Area F/I) to Stratum c (Area H/I-VI) points to the presence of a Semitic population until the mysterious abandonment.” -
Exodus 14:1-31 gives an overview of how the Pharaoh and his army pursued the Hebrews. Eventually, the entire army of the Pharaoh was destroyed (not including the Pharaoh). This would have taken place in April/May of 1446 BC.

AS EGYPTIAN: Born to Amram [3rd son of Jacob, Royal Priesthood] and Jochebed, who were both Levites, he was born under the edict of the Pharaoh [Thutmose I] that all boys who were born must be thrown into the Nile. When he could no longer be hidden, Jochebed made an ark [papyrus basket with tar and pitch] and place him in the Nile, in the hands of God, as his sister Miriam watched. The Pharaoh's daughter [Hatsheput] heard the cries and the baby was retrieved. She knew he was Hebrew, but she kept him anyway and called him "Mose". Miriam offered to find a wet nurse [Jochebed, his mother] and the Hatsheput agreed. Once old enough, he lived in the Pharaoh's house [Thutmose I, Thutmose II and co-regency of Hatsheput/Thutmose III] and was taught all the knowledge of Egypt. When he was 40 years old, he killed an Egyptian that was beating a Hebrew. Upon hearing of the death, the Pharaoh [Thutmose III at the age of 20] sought to kill Moses, probably fearing a revolt, since he knew that Moses was born a Hebrew. Moses fled into the desert, probably by the Way of the Wilderness trade route that ran diagonally to the tip of the Gulf of Aqaba and into the Land of Midian.
There are many similarities between Moses in the Holy Bible and Senenmut from Egyptian history, who was an non-royal that rose to great position and influence under Hatsheput's rule. (see article link). Senenmut had favor with Hatsheput, becoming the tutor for Hatsheput's daughter Neferure, leading a military campaign in Nubia, was the lead architect of her famous Mortuary Complex and had two personal tombs built that were never used. His last appearance in official records was in the 16th year of the co-regency [1490 BC]. Both he and Hatsheput were subjected by Amenhotep II to a campaign that tried to erase them from Egyptian history.
As another side note, Neferure also disappeared from official records around the same time and it is thought that she is the biblical name "Bithiah" from 1 Chronicles 4:17-18 "17 The sons of Ezrah: Jether, Mered, Epher and Jalon. One of Mered’s wives gave birth to Miriam, Shammai and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa. 18 (His wife from the tribe of Judah gave birth to Jered the father of Gedor, Heber the father of Soko, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah.) These were the children of Pharaoh’s daughter Bithiah, whom Mered had married." This would mean that she left during the Exodus with Moses and the Israelites.
AS MIDIANITE: Genesis 25:1-2 describes the sons of Abraham by his other, Keturah (after the death of Sarah). She bore several sons, of which one was named Midian. Genesis 37:26-36 tells of Joseph's brothers selling him to Midianite merchants, who in turn sold him to Potiphor in Egypt. Moses found a well at the end of his journey. He rescued some girls who were being bullied by some shepherds. They noticed that he looked Egyptians and told their father, Reuel "friend of God", a priest of Midian also known as Jethro, "his excellency", and a title of honor. He married the daughter, Zipporah, had two children and became a shepherd for Jethro. At the age of 80, Exodus 3 says the angel of the Lord (Pre-incarnate Jesus) met Moses on Mt. Horeb (Jebel al-Lawz in Saudi Arabia) in flames of fire within a bush, although the bush was not burnt. God told Moses to bring the Hebrews out of Egypt and come back to Mt. Horeb to worship him. God also send Moses' brother, Aaron, to meet Moses at Mr. Horeb.
Time of the Exodus and Conquest of Promised Land
AS HEBREW: Moses went back to Egypt not as an Egyptian or Midianite, but as a fellow Hebrew. He spoke with the Hebrew elders and with Pharaoh. God displayed his mighty power to the Egyptians and their false gods, and to the Hebrews in fulfilling his promise to deliver them from Egypt back to Canaan. Two years after leaving Egypt, God led them to the Promised Land. They sent 12 spies to search the land, 10 of the 12 were to scared. Only Joshua and Caleb believed God would fight for them and deliver the Canaanite people into their hands. Because the their disobedience, God made them wander the Wilderness for 38 more years until everyone over 20 in the 10 tribes that disobeyed had died. Even Moses, in a separate act of disobedience, lost is chance to go into the Promised Land. At the age of 120, God brought the Hebrews (Israelites) back to Canaan where Moses turned over leadership to Joshua and gave final instructions to the Israelites to obey God.

1. The Lord [Pre-incarnate Jesus] buried Moses in Moab (Deuteronomy 34:1-6)
2. Satan fought with the Archangel Michael for the body of Moses (Jude 9)

14 In his anger against Israel the Lord gave them into the hands of raiders who plundered them. He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, whom they were no longer able to resist. 15 Whenever Israel went out to fight, the hand of the Lord was against them to defeat them, just as he had sworn to them. They were in great distress. 16 Then the Lord raised up judges, who saved them out of the hands of these raiders. 17 Yet they would not listen to their judges but prostituted themselves to other gods and worshiped them. They quickly turned from the ways of their ancestors, who had been obedient to the Lord’s commands. 18 Whenever the Lord raised up a judge for them, he was with the judge and saved them out of the hands of their enemies as long as the judge lived; for the Lord relented because of their groaning under those who oppressed and afflicted them. 19 But when the judge died, the people returned to ways even more corrupt than those of their ancestors, following other gods and serving and worshiping them. They refused to give up their evil practices and stubborn ways.
20 Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel and said, “Because this nation has violated the covenant I ordained for their ancestors and has not listened to me, 21 I will no longer drive out before them any of the nations Joshua left when he died. 22 I will use them to test Israel and see whether they will keep the way of the Lord and walk in it as their ancestors did.” 23 The Lord had allowed those nations to remain; he did not drive them out at once by giving them into the hands of Joshua."
The Judges were spread throughout the Promised Land. There were multiple times that several Judges lived at the same time. There are three main divisions of Judges that run from the Book of Judges through 2 Samuel: 1st - Othneil to Deborah, 2nd - Gideon to Abdon, and Eli, Samson and Samuel.
Assumptions:

The First Division is linear from 1319 BC and ends at Deborah.

The Second Division starts in the middle with Jephthah. Judges 12:17 states "For three hundred years Israel occupied Heshbon, Aroer, the surrounding settlements and all the towns along the Arnon. Why didn’t you retake them during that time?" This occupation of Heshbon refers to Numbers 21:25 "Israel captured all the cities of the Amorites and occupied them, including Heshbon and all its surrounding settlements. This 300-years would be dated from the defeat of Heshbon in 1446 BC just prior to the Israelites crossing the Jordan River to 1106 BC. (1446 - 300 = 1106)

The Third Division focuses on the last three Judges: Eli, Samson and Samuel.

Samson was a Judge for 20 years of the 40 years that the Lord delivered the Israelites into the hands of the Philistines. (Judges 13:1, 15:20) This assumes that the 40 years under the Philistines occurs after the leadership of Deborah and the 20 years occur at the same time after the Philistines returned the Ark to the Israelites in Kiriath Jearim. (1 Samuel 7:1-2)

Eli was both a High Priest and Judge. His two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were evil and displeased God. Eli overlooked their wickedness and was judged by God. He accepted God's prophecy of judgment. He died at the age of 98, when the Ark of the Covenant was taken by the Philistines and was High Priest / Judge for 40 years (1 Samuel 4:12-18). The Philistines brought the Ark back to the Israelites after 7 months and it stayed with the house of Abinadab for 20 years (1 Samuel 7:1). It is assumed that Samson's 20 years corresponds with the 20 years that the Ark remained at Kiriath Jearim.

Samuel mother dedicated him to the Lord after he was weaned. It is assumed that he was three (3) years old since she provided a 3-year old bull as a sacrifice. (1 Samuel 1:21-28) Also, as a boy, he ministered before the Lord and the Lord called out to Samuel. (1 Samuel 3) It is believed that he was 12 years old and assumed that since the Lord was about judge Eli's family that Eli died when Samuel was 12 years old. It is also assumed that Samuel, who was very old during the time of Saul and David, died in 1013BC at the age of 92.

ISRAEL REJECTS GOD'S JUDGES:
PHILISTINES
Israel was still subject to the Philistines during the time of the Kings. 1 Samuel 13:19 reflects their control "Not a blacksmith could be found in the whole land of Israel, because the Philistines had said, “Otherwise the Hebrews will make swords or spears!"
SAUL
The Israelites continued to rebel against the Lord. First in their worship practices, where they made idols to the pagan gods of the neighboring nations, but now the Israelites wanted a human king as their governing authority. Their source of authority was empty without power, and subject to the corrupt hearts of man. Now, both the people and their king had to fear the Lord, and if one failed, both failed.

1 Samuel 8:1-9"1 When Samuel grew old, he appointed his sons as Israel’s leaders. 2 The name of his firstborn was Joel and the name of his second was Abijah, and they served at Beersheba. 3 But his sons did not follow his ways. They turned aside after dishonest gain and accepted bribes and perverted justice. 4 So all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah. 5 They said to him, “You are old, and your sons do not follow your ways; now appoint a king to lead us, such as all the other nations have.” 6 But when they said, “Give us a king to lead us,” this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the Lord. 7 And the Lord told him: “Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king. 8 As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you. 9 Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will claim as his rights.”

1 Samuel 12:14-15 " 14 If you fear the Lord and serve and obey him and do not rebel against his commands, and if both you and the king who reigns over you follow the Lord your God—good! 15 But if you do not obey the Lord, and if you rebel against his commands, his hand will be against you, as it was against your ancestors.
The Lord accepted the Israelite's request and the Lord gave them someone who reflected their hearts. The Lord directed Samuel to anoint Saul (1 Samuel 9:15-17, 10:17-24). The Spirit of the Lord came upon him in power, changed his heart (1 Samuel 10:9-10). At his first battle, Saul was rebuked for disobedience and he was put on notice that his kingship would could be revoked in the future (1 Samuel 13:13-14, 28:16-18 ). Saul was successful when he sought direction from the Lord and obeyed the literal words he received. For 25 years, Saul and the Israelites fought the nations that plundered them (1 Samuel 14:47-48), but one day, he went too far. His half obedience was full disobedience as the Lord finally rejected Saul, who used his own eyes and heart to interpret the Lord's intent and failed to totally destroy everything that belonged to the Amalekites; keeping alive their King Agag and his livestock that Saul considered "good" (1 Samuel 15:1-9). The Lord spoke to Samuel and Samuel told Saul that he had been rejected, so the Lord directed Samuel to anoint another king. Saul would continue as king for another 15+ years.
DAVID
This time, the Lord choose a king that reflected His heart. (1 Samuel 16:7). God did not have to change David's heart because David pursued the Lord (1 Samuel 13:13-14, Acts 13:22). From that day the Spirit of the Lord was removed from Saul and given the David. Saul selected David to serve him in his courts, but I believe that the battle against Goliath happened before David entered Saul's service since he was referred to as a "boy" and Saul did not know who him. Since all scripture is not necessarily chronological, this should be David's first recorded encounter with King Saul. He was considered a young man, but in Jewish tradition, the age of 13 is considered a man. David's pursuit is evident in the Book of Psalm. David was God's instrument of judgment and a mighty warrior. Saul tried to kill David many times, but the Lord protected David. The Lord gave Saul into David's hands, but David would not kill "the Lord's anointed". Because of all the blood that David spilled (2 Samuel 16:7-8), he was not allowed to build the Temple, but God allowed him to design it and have his son, Solomon construct the building that housed the Ark.
SOLOMON
Solomon was not David's firstborn, but the Lord loved Solomon from birth and gave him a special name, Jedidiah, meaning "loved by the Lord" (2 Samuel 12:24-25). Through the guidance of Nathan the Prophet, his mother Bathsheba reminded David in his old age of his oath that Solomon would be king (1 Kings 1:17-27). After his anointing, the Lord inquired of Solomon in a dream to ask whatever Solomon would want the Lord to give him. Solomon chose wisdom over riches and power. The Lord was please and gave him all three in abundance (1 Kings 3). He laid the foundation to the Temple in his fourth year and completed not only the Temple, but a Palace and many other capital projects throughout the land. In making peace with the neighboring nations, had many wives and concubines who brought their pagan idols and practices. This corrupted Solomon and eventually, the Lord would split the nation in two parts, with Israel retaining 10 tribes and Judah retaining Simeon.

Solomon did evil in the eyes of the Lord: 1 Kings 11:3-8 "3 He had seven hundred wives of royal birth and three hundred concubines, and his wives led him astray. 4 As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father had been. 5 He followed Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and Molek the detestable god of the Ammonites. 6 So Solomon did evil in the eyes of the Lord; he did not follow the Lord completely, as David his father had done. 7 On a hill east of Jerusalem, Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the detestable god of Moab, and for Molek the detestable god of the Ammonites. 8 He did the same for all his foreign wives, who burned incense and offered sacrifices to their gods."
Solomon's judgment: 1 Kings 11:9-13 "9 The Lord became angry with Solomon because his heart had turned away from the Lord, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice. 10 Although he had forbidden Solomon to follow other gods, Solomon did not keep the Lord’s command. 11 So the Lord said to Solomon, “Since this is your attitude and you have not kept my covenant and my decrees, which I commanded you, I will most certainly tear the kingdom away from you and give it to one of your subordinates. 12 Nevertheless, for the sake of David your father, I will not do it during your lifetime. I will tear it out of the hand of your son. 13 Yet I will not tear the whole kingdom from him, but will give him one tribe for the sake of David my servant and for the sake of Jerusalem, which I have chosen.”
ISRAEL (the "Northern Kingdom")
God chose Jeroboam, Solomon's Director of the Labor Force, to lead 10 of the 12 tribes (1 Kings 11:26-36). Their capital in Samaria was Shechem, but he directed the people to worship away from Jerusalem. He built two golden calves, both in Bethel and Dan, then built other shrines in high places (1 Kings 12:25-33). The kingdom of Israel at this time lasted from 930 BC to 723 BC (207 years). They were invaded and assimilated by the Assyrians.
JUDAH
The tribes of Judah and Benjamin joined together to have Rehoboam, son of Solomon as king. (1 Kings 12:21). I believe there were others from different tribes who joined with Rehoboam or in the case of the tribe of Simeon, they either were absorbed by the tribe of Judah or they moved out of their land to join Israel (1 Kings 12:23, 2 Chronicles 15:9, Genesis 49:5-7, Joshua 19:1-9). The kingdom of Judah at this time lasted from 930 BC to 586 BC (344 years). They were invaded and assimilated by the Babylonians.

The Assyrians
In 726 BC, Shalmaneser V (King of Assyria) invaded Israel and laid siege to the City of Samaria for three years. In 723 BC, he captured the city and deported a large number of Hebrews to Assyria. Sargon II deposed Shalmaneser V and continued the deportation and resettlement. This ultimately lead to assimilation and intermarriage of the Northern Kingdom (Israel) with Assyrians and those they conquered being resettled in Israel, which is the basis for those from Judah to label them unclean since many became half-Jew and half Gentile. The Assyrians grew and weakened in strength over the next 100 years. A civil war in 627-623BC allowed the Babylonians the opportunity to regroup under Assyrian authority.

The Babylonians (Daniel 2:36-38 - Gold head of statute)
In 732BC, Tiglath-Pileser III conquered the Babylonian Empire. When Sargon II became King of Assyria, Merodoach-Baladan led a couple of revolts, but they were short lived. It was under the leadership of Nabopolassar during a time of civil war that the Babylonians were able to reclaim their land the continue to conquer the Assyrians. In 605 BC, Nebuchadnezzar II, succeeded his father and continued the expansion of the kingdom. Zedekiah rebelled against Nebuchadnezzar II so in 588 BC, he laid siege to Jerusalem and in 586 BC, he conquered the city, destroying the wall and Temple.
Prophecy
In 604 BC, Daniel the prophet told Nebuchadnezzar II his dream of the statute and its interpretation. The statue pertains to the four empires that will rule the land to usher in the Time of the Gentiles (see excellent website link) whose fullness will end with the Second Coming of the Messiah (Ezekiel 19:4-14, 21:9-27; Luke 21:24; John 19:14-15; Romans 11:25). Zedekiah is the last Davidic king to occupy the Davidic throne until it is reoccupied by the Messiah (Jesus from the line of David), who reigns 1,000 years in Jerusalem (Revelation 20:4-6).
The Gold Head is the Babylonian Empire (626 BC - 539 BC), the Chest and Arms of Silver are the combined empires of the Medes and the Persians (539 BC - 330 BC). The Bronze Abdomen and Thighs are the Macedonian/Greek Empire (330 BC - 63 BC). The Legs of Iron are the Roman Empire (63 BC - 33 AD). The Feet of Clay mixed with Iron are a future Roman Empire with 10 rulers during the Tribulation period where the . Jeremiah the prophet also spoke to Jehoiakim about the 70 years of captivity for Judah whereby Nebuchadnezzar II will lay waste to the land with an everlasting ruin and the people will be enslaved.
In October 563 BC, God pronounced judgment on Nebuchadnezzar II through Daniel the prophet that for 7 years, he would suffer from insanity until he acknowledged that the God of heaven rules over all kingdoms and assign leadership as He pleases.
In May 556 BC, God restored Nebuchadnezzar II to rule over Babylon, but his name was changed to Nabonidus (means "May Nabu, the god of wisdom, be praised or exhalted"). In 550 BC, Nabonidus' son, Belshazzar is co-regent and based in Babylon while Nabonidus stayed in Tayma (Tema), Arabia for ten years.

The Medes and the Persians were part of a confederacy where the Medes were in a senior position to the Persians. Following the, Medo-Persian Conflict (553 BC - 550 BC), there seems to be a co-regency of power. Media and Babylon were allies, but tensions started to grow once Nabonidus became king of Babylon. In 539 BC, Darius the Mede (evidence suggests that this was Cyaxares II, son of Astyages and uncle of Cyrus the Great) conquered Babylon.

The Achaemenid dynasty is named after Achaemenes, who was the great-great-grandfather of Cyrus II or Cyrus the Great. Cyrus the Great ascended to sole rulership after Darius the Mede died in 537 BC and he took control of Babylon. His continued conquests founded the Achaemenid Persian Empire. This empire continued to grow and consolidate power until a series of revolts and campaign losses during the reigns of Darius the Great and Xerxes I against Greece caused the Persians to pull back on their Greek conquest.
Prophecy
Biblically, the period of exile is supported in several verses. First, The Daniel 9 prophecy contains a seven "7's" or 49 years, which refers to the 49-year period between the sacking of Jerusalem in 586 BC and Cyrus the Great's rule (586 BC - 49 years = 537 BC.) Second, Ezra 1 outlines the initial process of God's plan to restore the Jewish people and rebuild the Temple. In 537 BC, Cyrus the Great states that God appointed him to build a temple for him in Jerusalem. He allows surviving Jews to move back and underwrites the building of the Temple. This construction is completed in 516 BC. Third, Jeremiah the prophet spoke of 70 years of captivity in Chapter 25 of the Book of Jeremiah (586 BC - 70 years = 516 BC).
Daniel 10 is an introduction to a final message about a great war (events from Daniel's time to the Anti-Christ in the Great Tribulation) and it includes the suffering of Israel beyond the 70 years of Jeremiah. This vision starts after a 3-week period (Julian: April 1, 536 BC to April 21, 536 BC; Hebrew: Nisan 4, 535 BC to Nisan 24, 535 BC) of mourning by Daniel, which coincides with a 21-day period whereby Michael the Archangel was resisted by the "prince of the Persian kingdom". This "prince" was a human and most likely Cambyses I, son of Cyrus the Great, not a demon prince. Cambyses I had a significant degree of influence and was documented as having known opposition to any foreign "cults". In verse 20, there is a reference to Persia and Greece.

The Greeks (Daniel 2:39 - Bronze abdomen and thighs of statute)
Greece was a collection of city-states. After the failed campaign of Xerxes I against Greece and resulting retreat in 479 BC, the two main confederations in power were the Peloponnesian League (Greek city-states led by Sparta) and the Delian League (Greek city-states led by Athens). Macedonia was a separately large city-state that was freed as a Persian vassal state, but also an ally of the Peloponnesian League. Its rise to power began under Phillip II in 359 BC. He expanded his territory to include Greece and Thrace before setting his sights on Asia Minor under the Persian Empire. Upon his death in 332 BC, his son, Alexander III (the Great) succeeded him and continued one of the most aggressive expansions in history.
Ezekiel 26 contains prophecy regarding Alexander's siege and destruction of Tyre. Ezekiel 26:1-6, 12 "1 In the eleventh month of the twelfth year, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, because Tyre has said of Jerusalem, ‘Aha! The gate to the nations is broken, and its doors have swung open to me; now that she lies in ruins I will prosper,’ 3 therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Tyre, and I will bring many nations against you, like the sea casting up its waves. 4 They will destroy the walls of Tyre and pull down her towers; I will scrape away her rubble and make her a bare rock. 5 Out in the sea she will become a place to spread fishnets, for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign Lord. She will become plunder for the nations, 6 and her settlements on the mainland will be ravaged by the sword. Then they will know that I am the Lord ... 12 They [Alexander the Great's army] will plunder your wealth and loot your merchandise; they will break down your walls and demolish your fine houses and throw your stones, timber and rubble into the sea." - This is a reference to the construction of the causeway (mole) by Alexander the Great whereby he used the remnants of the "Old City of Tyre" as material to connect and conquer the island of the coast of Phoenicia called the "2nd Tyre". He had his engineers literally throw all the material into the sea to create land, which remains as a peninsula today. So complete was the use of this material that the original location of "Old Tyre" is still a mystery.

Daniel 11 outlines God's continued rod of discipline against his chosen people by continuing their suffering after the "70-years" in the Book of Jeremiah and extending it through the Persian and Hellenistic (Greek) periods. It contains prophecies centuries before events happened in great and accurate detail. It is this level of detail that is a prime example of God the Father's sovereignty over the events of history.

Time of the Messiah
It is my understanding that the Jewish people believe that a figure or person who was anointed by YHWH (God the Father) would reestablish the nation of Israel under the line of David and bring peace. This anointed one was called the "Mashiach" in Hebrew or "Messiah" in English or "Christ" in Greek. There may be several reasons why the Jewish people rejected Jesus as the Christ.

Anointing is typically associated with ceremony and oil. Regardless of all the miraculous signs and prophecies fulfilled by Jesus, and his triumphal entry into Jerusalem, because the priests did not anoint Jesus with oil with proclamation to the people, the Jewish people were less likely to accept.

Herod the Great was raised as a Jew, but his heritage is both Edomite (father) and Nabatean Arab (mother). His father, Antipater the Idumaean, eventually allied with Julius Caesar, who appointed him as the the first Roman Procurator of Judea in 40 BC. By 37 BC, through the goodwill of Rome, by marriage and three-years of internal battles, Herod gained the title of King of Judea away from the established Hasmonean kings. In 19 BC, Herod proposed the expansion of the Temple Mount in order to rebuild a larger Temple than the Zerubbabel second temple, but he did not start construction until 16 BC. John 2:20 states it took "forty-six years to build this temple" (16 BC + 16 years = 0 BC + 1 year (no zero year) = 1 AD + 30 years = 31 AD). There is much debate regarding the timing of Herod's death. The three years proposed are 4 BC, 1 BC and 1 AD. I support the 1 BC date for the following reasons:

The Jewish historian, Josephus, opined that Herod's death preceded a Jewish fasting day and a lunar eclipse, but happened before a Passover. This events coincide with the Fast of Tebeth (January 5, 1 BC), Total Lunar Eclipse (January 10, 1 BC) and Passover (April 7, 1 AD), respectively. Given this information, it is estimated that Herod died on January 26, 1 BC.

Luke 2:1-3 identifies a census. This was not the normal census for tax-purposes, but a requirement for an oath of loyalty. It was called the Oath to Pater Patriae (Silver Anniversary of Julius Caesar's Supreme Rule over Roman Empire since 27 BC to award him the title "Father of the Country"). This Oath or non-taxing census took place in 2 BC (27-25=2). Joseph and Mary were on their way to Bethlehem while she was pregnant.

Matthew 2 - Jesus was born during the time of King Herod in Bethlehem and Herod died sometime afterward so 4 BC is not a viable date. Also, Herod orders death of all boys two years old and younger.

Time of the Universal Church
There are two distinct people-groups in the Old Testament and New Testament: The Hebrews (a.k.a the Jews or Israelites) and the Gentiles (all other nations). The Israelites are God's chosen people and they have been called by God to fulfill their special purpose in His grand design of humanity's redemption. Deuteronomy 7:6-9 say "6 For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession. 7 The Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. 8 But it was because the Lord loved you and kept the oath he swore to your ancestors that he brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt. 9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments."
God has not forgotten the Gentiles. Neither the Gentiles nor the Universal Church (all believers in Jesus Christ) will never replace the covenant relationship that God has with Israel. Throughout the Old Testament, God gave prophecy about being in relationship with the Gentile nations as well.
Although God loves Israel above all nations, he has hardened their hearts to the reality of Jesus as the Messiah so that in their rejection of the Messiah, the Gentile nations would have the opportunity to receive salvation. This truth is outlined in:

Romans 11:25-32 "25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, 26 and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written [Isaiah 59:20-21]: “The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. 27 And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins." 28 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, 29 for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. 30 Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, 31 so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you. 32 For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all."

God the Father has absolute sovereignty over all creation.
